Lowcountry Oyster Festival
The “World’s Largest Oyster Roast” is held every January on the spacious back lawn at beautiful Boone Hall Plantation. The event for 2012 will be staged on Sunday January 29th. This festive event is presented annually by the Charleston Restaurant Association and attracts visitors from all over the world. It is undouibtedly one of the premier social gatherings held annually in the South Carolina Lowcountry that continues to grow each year. Over 70,000 lbs. of oysters will be enjoyed by the thousands of people who attend this spectacular event.

Piggly Wiggly BBQ Championship & Bluegrass Festival 
Boone Hall Plantation is proud to have Piggly Wiggly as the title sponsor for this  Lowcountry Labor Day Weekend tradition. There is always a wide variety of BBQ available, topped off with plenty of family fun and entertainment. Locals and amateurs are invited to show-off their talents in a a barbecue competition in an effort win cash and prizes. It is the perfect event to cap off Labor Day Weekend.

Living History Field Trip Day
This day is a unique opportunity for teachers and students to take a trip back in time and experience the color and lifestyle of the antebellum era on a day designed especially for them. This special day kicks off Boone Hall’s Living History Weekend, which is held each November in conjunction with the re-enactment of The Battle Of Secessionville.

Each November, The Re-enactment of The Battle of Secessionville is the featured centerpiece of Living History Weekend at Boone Hall Plantation. Hundreds of re-enactors relive that day that occurred 145 years ago — June 16, 1862 — when Confederate soldiers at Fort Lamar on James Island kept Charleston from being seized by Union forces.
